At Baker Bridge Farm, The Food Project stewards 31 acres of conservation land, growing fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, and cover crops.

Most of what is harvested in Lincoln by our farm team, youth crews, and volunteer groups, supports our food access initiatives in Boston’s Dudley neighborhood. Food grown in Lincoln supplements the produce we grow in Boston on two acres of previously vacant land on West Cottage Street and Langdon Street, and in our 10,000-square-foot greenhouse. Our distribution partners include farmers markets, neighborhood stores, and restaurants. Any extra produce is donated each week to local hunger relief organizations.

Our activities at Baker Bridge Farm are made possible through a continuing partnership with the Town of Lincoln’s Conservation Commission. The Food Project has been farming in Lincoln since 1992 and stewarding this land since 1998. The land that we steward in Boston is permanently owned by the Dudley community through the Dudley Neighbors, Inc. community land trust.

Meanwhile, on the North Shore, we have a similar arrangement: our suburban farm in Wenham, on land belonging to the town, supports our urban farm and farmers markets in Lynn. Please learn more about our Greater Boston and North Shore farms, gardens, and farmers markets on our website.
